Hey everyone! =) I’m super pumped to meet ya’ll because I’ve been told I’m crazy for wanting to go to Africa by quite a few people, so it will be nice to meet some other “crazy” people! =)
I’m 17 years old and I”m a junior at Roosevelt High School in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. My junior year has been going pretty well so far, besides the fact that I’ve found myself googling Uganda instead of getting homework done lately. In my free time, I love hanging out with my friends, we’re always finding super weird and random stuff to do! I play golf on my high school team. I watch a lot of baseball and go to a few Twin’s games every year with my family. Go Twins! I do a lot of activities with my youth group and church. I’ve went to the same church my whole life, and I have an awesome church family who has already supported me and this trip in awesome ways! I try to find many ways to serve people. I’m a pretty compassionate person, I love people, and I’ve very interested in social justice. I’ve been on two mission trips. One to New Orleans and another to Alaska. Both were life changing and absolutely amazing!
I’m going to Africa because God has shown me there’s more out there. There’s more to life than the comfortable American lifestyle. I often feel disgusted with the materialistic and unimportant things we all value. I’m hoping this trip will really allow me to see what is important about life while serving the people in Uganda.
I’m uber excited to see what’s in store for all of us! I can’t wait! =)
Morgan! I’m so excited to meet you! Haha people have told me the same thing about going to Africa. We’ll all be “crazies” together 🙂

As I was reading this, I was agreeing with nearly every bit of it!! From what it looks like, we all have the same passion for people!
I’m so excited to meet EVERYONE!
I’m excited about getting to know you!
You sound like an amazing person!
I agree with Julia; I love how we all have a passion for people. That’s so critical in what we as Christians are called to do. Especially with the people we are around everyday, and even the people we will never meet.
Can’t wait to meet you!
Haha! Everyone has said the exact same thing to me. “You are craazzy!” And they are right. Crazy for Christ.
I TOTALLY concur about the materialistic American lifestyle.
All crazies together!! 😀
