Hey everyone!!! :) Let me start out with the fact that I'm not exactly good at writing things like this, and my thoughts will probably be scattered... so I apologize beforehand!

 

     My name's Marissa Ellen Schley. I'm a 14 year old homeschooled freshman from Trenton, Michigan. I've gone to public school for my whole life, this is my first year of homeschooling... and so far I love it! I live with my mom and 15 year old brother who has aspergers (a form of autism). My parents are divorced, but thankfully I get to see my dad a lot. I love running track, every other sport I'm horrible at! :) I'm energetic, and I smile and laugh a lot. Hanging out with friends and doing crazy random things is the best! Oh.. and I'm in love with McDonalds ice cream!

     I love my church, especially my youth group. My youth group is sooo important to me, everyone there is so encouraging to me... and my youth pastor is awesome! :D I'm at church a lot, and I love my friends there! At church I'm on a drama/dance team...it's so much fun. 

     I'm so excited to go to Uganda!!! I have been on three mission trips to Kentucky, but all three have only been for a week. I can't wait to spend a month in Uganda serving the people there! I've always had a heart for Africa... I simply can't explain how excited I am for everything! I can't wait to go and do what God has called me to do. Oh! And I can't wait to meet my team!
