First, I’m sorry about the two emails that got sent to everyone telling you that there was a blog post up that didn’t exist in any readable form.  😛  I accidentally kept hitting enter, and it kept sending the emails.  My bad.

Well, when I first got this fourth blogging assignment, I thought, “Oh great!  And just at the time when He’s doing NOTHING.  I think I’ll wait on writing this until He’s doing at least SOMETHING.”  To put it mildly, I’ve been struggling lately.  I’ve been straying a bit – not reading my Bible in the morning like I should be, not praying much, not doing much in the way of devotions, I think you guys get the idea.  :/  What’s odd is that it’s this time of the year when I’m usually leaning on Him the MOST, because it’s crunch time for school.  😛  (I know, that sounds really shallow.)
What’s even MORE odd, is that while He hasn’t been turning me upside down, I just realized that He’s been working.  I just finished reading all the blog entries, which I have been VERY remiss in, and after reading them, I started to realize that through this week, I’ve found myself singing convicting songs, signing to encouraging songs, and reading a couple VERY convicting pieces of writing, as well as going to some REALLY cool worship services.  I suppose one cannot say that God isn’t working, because I think He ALWAYS is now.
I started out reading these blog posts thinking, “I bet all my teammates have had something really special happen to them this week, something that God has done and turned their worlds upside down, and I know that I haven’t had that.  I really need to write my blog entry, but I have NOTHING TO SAY!”  And then I started reading them, and I realized that nobody is perfect on this team.  We all have our bad times and our good times.  We all have the AMAZING moments, and the deserts that we have to walk through, sand stinging our faces.  I had one of those ABSOLUTELY freeing moments a couple weeks to a couple months ago, and that’s the kind of thing I thought we were supposed to have happen.  I suppose I thought wrong.  It seems that some of us are getting our worlds turned backwards and forwards, and others are walking through the deserts.  Yet, no matter where you are, God’s still working with you.  That’s what I find most amazing. He still works when you can’t see it until after the fact.
I hope that this has actually meant something to one of you, or that it helps you to understand me better.  Hopefully by the time I actually get to met you all, I’ll be in a better position, but now……… well, yeah.
