Vacation Bible School Teams!!!

Hey ladies! Hope you are all doing great. Here are some details about VBS stuff

Vacation Bible School Team’s

Team One: Akari Adams, Morgan Haffield, Katie Murphy, Marissa Schley

Team Two:Cera Allen, Laura-Lynn Hubel, Heidi McKee, Kaitlin Walters

Team Three:Emily Browning, Jules Lorenz, Katherine McGrath, Alyson Wells

Team Four:Abigail Clark, Amber Madsen, Bethany Niehause

Team Five:Hanna Gengenbach, Diana Mason, Christina Waller

(We will all be available to help team 4 & 5 as they are each one member short

Each team needs to have two Bible stories (with a skit if possible) when you have decided on what story your group will be using, please post it ASAP on the Uganda facebook page. That way we don’t all come with David and Goliath and Daniel in the Lion’s den. J If you have trouble coming up with ideas, just let one of the leaders know, we will try and give you some ideas.

Try to have at least 3 songs. No problem if we repeat some of those. Remember songs with actions will get everyone involved.

About 3 or 4 games/icebreakers to get started and draw a crowd. IF anyone has a parachute we can use, these seem to pull people in. If you do, please let me know, otherwise I will try and find one for us.

A craft that pertains to your story. Remember something easy, fun and that doesn’t require tons of supplies.

If you all could choose one person from your group to report to a leader your progress and what you are doing, that would be awesome. Post that on the facebook page too please.

Wordless Bracelet Supplies: Enough for 1000 plus people

If we each take responsibility for 50 (or more if you feel up to it!) bracelets, that should be more than enough.

You can use any type of string, just try and get something that won’t break immediately.

–Black bead: Sin separates us from God (Romans 3:23)

–Red bead: Jesus shed his blood on the cross to pay for our sins. (Romans 5:8)

–White bead: The blood of Christ washes us pure and white as snow when we accept Him as Lord. (1 John 1:7)

–Blue bead: Water baptism is an outward sign of our faith (Romans 10:9-11)

–Green bead: Our faith grows [like a plant from a seed] as we pray and read the Bible (2 Peter 3:18)

–Gold bead: We will spend eternity in heaven with the Lord (Revelation 21:1-3)

 Here are a few basic items we will most likely need:

Other supplies may be needed depending on your craft projects. Let’s get as many craft items as we can. They will be a blessing to Helping hands Ministry. We can leave any extras.

 

Scissors (for us mainly-we should have everything pre cut)

Ziplocs

Glue/Glue Sticks

Crayons or Markers  (as many as we can get, we can leave extras for Helping Hands)

Tape

Glitter, Plastic Rinestones, ect. Anything shiny!

Balloons

Construction Paper/any Paper

Mini Staplers and staples (for our use-maybe 2 or 3 )

Burger King Crowns (these are great for a lesson on how we are King’s kids! Or if we want to do a Princess day for girls.)

Ribbon (any scraps people will donate for decorating crafts)

Props you may want for skits

Face paint

 This is what I have in my folder and the info I will need to collect this info. from your teams. Remember we need to report to our host by JUNE 1st! It is right around the corner, so please start making contact with your team ASAP and when you have a team spokesperson contact us or post who the the team leader is as a comment. 

 

 

Last but not least- here is another question for you ladies:

 

If you are interested, there is a devotional I just started reading and I think it is absolutely awesome. It is a 5 week devotion called “Hope Lives-A journey of restoration” Amber Van Schooneveld is the author. I paid $12.99 for the book.

 

But….. I was thinking about a little deal for you ladies. For $20.00 how would you like to have this book and two t-shirts (the ones we are selling)? I think if we get it in bulk (If only a few of you want it, it will probably be the 12.99 price.) I can get a discount on the books and the shirts are $5.00 each. So….. If you are interested. I will bring your shirts and books to training camp. If you do want to, I will need the $20.00 up front simply because we are not rich souls!
